welcome
a brief introduction
I’m on a plane, flying west. I finished packing this morning, said my last goodbyes, and now: I am here writing to you, wherever you are in space and time.
Welcome. This is a personal blog, for the time being.
I don’t know what shape or form this blog will take. If you’re reading this in the present, I guess we’ll find out together.
I don’t know what shape or form this year will take, either. I have no plans after December, which is exciting. Life feels endlessly open.
I do know this: I have never had this much confidence and conviction in my life. I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
To my friends and family back home, thank you for all the love. You made leaving difficult, even though I won’t be gone for long. How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
To those in other places, thank you for reading. I hope you have peace and abundant joy.
To my future self, I hope you can look back and say you made the most of every precious moment. And never forget: you are the recipient of grace beyond measure.
And to you, reader, whoever and wherever you are, always remember: 1) there is more opportunity out there than you could ever know, and 2) it is entirely possible to live a life full of endless love. I hope these thoughts encourage you, and I pray that you will hold fast to what is true, always.
And I felt at last that my journey was started. I think I hadn’t really believed in it before.1
